Motivation To Exercise: 8 Tips To Find Results

We’ve all been there before: lying on the couch with an empty potato chip bag in hand as we declare, “That’s it, I start my workout plan tomorrow,” only for tomorrow to come and the motivation to exercise to vanish. Often, finding that motivation can be harder than finding the remote (you know the one I’m talking about, the one loves to snuggle up deep beneath the couch cushions). While finding the motivation to exercise can be hard, it is not impossible. Throughout my fitness journey, I keep coming back to eight principles that help me stay on track and ready to reach my goals. These eight tips have kept me focused and motivated to continue working out, even when the temptation to quit is at its peak.

saturated fats

Are Saturated Fats the Enemy?

Few topics spark controversy in the world of nutrition like the macronutrient fat does. One of the most widely debated questions being, ‘is fat good for you?’ or more crudely, ‘does fat make you fat?’ It seems the only broadly accepted answer is that there is no answer. Much of the dispute stems from the different types of fat, the good fats versus bad fat debate. Even more complicated, historically saturated fats have a rep as bad fat, but is it a rep they deserve? Maybe not.

Intermittent fasting for women

Intermittent Fasting For Women, Is It Ideal For Everyone?

Intermittent fasting (IF) boasts a wide array of health benefits from weight loss to energy spikes to increased mental clarity. The concept mainly being, fasting periods rev up your body’s metabolism; and yet at the same time, it’s pretty unrevolutionary in that you consume fewer calories and so you lose weight. It sounds simple at first but when you dive into hormonal regulation, blood sugar regulation, and women’s evolutionary physiology, it can be more complicated. Like any diet, it can work great for some while others not so much.
